I'm not what you'd call a "gamer", but I have found a nice little distraction that's good for a few minutes of fun a day (You only get 50 moves a day - so no worry about getting too addicted)...

In death, the city stirs. Its borders still locked down after a sudden government quarantine last year, Malton's trapped civilians make their way through the derelict buildings, surviving the winter to rebuild their fragmented society from the rubble upwards. Military cleanup squads patrol the empty streets, stationed in the city for the long haul, while embedded scientific groups continue the experiments that brought them here.

And the dead rise up and thrive, trailing through the ruined streets of the city, milling between buildings and clawing through makeshift barricades and diversions, reclaiming the city as their own.

Urban Dead is a browser-based zombie apocalypse MMORPG.

People ask all the time where I get (legal) software, music, TV, and movies. For most part, the answer is "torrent files". There is a wide variety of all sorts of content available via torrent files.

This is a two part process. The first thing you need is a client. This is the software that processes the files, much like a browser processes HTML and other web content, and e-mail client processes e-mail, etc. My favorite is utorrent from http://www.utorrent.com/ for Windows, but torrent clients are available for all operating systems.

There's a more complete tutorial at http://www.idealog.us/2006/04/how_to_start_us.html

Next - you need torrent files. Once your BitTorrent client is set up, this is the fun part! This is where you get your media, applications, etc...

Here are some of the larger sites. Looking for something specific? Search more than one!

isoHunt - IRC and Bit Torrent search engine
btjunkie - the largest bittorrent database
mininova : the ultimate bittorrent source!
NewNova.org - the Universal BitTorrent Source - Movies, Music, TV Shows, Anime and much more
The Pirate Bay - The worlds largest BitTorrent tracker
BitTorrent
TorrentReactor.Net - The most active torrents on the web
Torrentspy.com - The Largest BitTorrent Search Engine
OiNK (This one is for high-quality, full-album music and software only, and requires an invitation. If you know me, feel free to ask!)

If you have any you'd like to share - please add them to the comments below!
